The Renewable Materials Conference 2026, held in Siegburg, Germany (22–24 September 2026), is one of the leading global events dedicated to the transition toward a fossil-free circular carbon economy.
Organised by nova-Institute, the conference brings together industry leaders, researchers, policymakers, and investors to explore solutions based on biomass, CO₂ utilisation, and recycling. Across three days, the programme covers the full value chain – from alternative feedstocks and biorefineries to chemical and materials industries, packaging, textiles, and consumer products.
It features around 80 presentations, more than 20 panel discussions, and 16 interactive workshops, alongside an international exhibition and innovation awards. Key themes include defossilisation of the chemical industry, fossil-free plastics, renewable carbon markets, and enabling policy frameworks for scaling bio-based solutions.
The event also highlights emerging business models and regulatory drivers needed to accelerate industrial transformation. Overall, it serves as a key networking hub for advancing renewable materials and circular bioeconomy deployment in Europe and globally.
