The General Assembly of PROMOFER was successfully held on June 11, 2026, in Heraklion, Crete. The meeting was hosted and organised by project partner ETAM SA – a consulting company based in Crete and leader of Work Package 8 “Dissemination, Communication, Exploitation and Market uptake.”
The meeting marked an important milestone for the project, as it coincided with the completion of two years since the start of its implementation. Representatives of all project partners gathered to assess the progress achieved so far and define the next steps toward the successful completion of the project.
During the meeting, participants presented the results achieved in the fields of agricultural residue and food industry waste valorisation, as well as recent developments in innovative biotechnological processes to produce high value-added products. In addition, discussions focused on the prospects for deploying the project’s outcomes across Europe, with the aim of strengthening the circular bioeconomy.
The project partners expressed their satisfaction with the progress achieved and renewed their commitment to continuing the implementation of upcoming activities with the same momentum and spirit of collaboration.
Their shared objective remains the achievement of PROMOFER’s ambitious goals and the maximisation of its impact at the European level. The meeting concluded with the planning of the next technical and research activities.
