In October 2025, PROMOFER gained major visibility at K 2025, the world’s No. 1 trade fair for plastics and rubber, held in Düsseldorf (Germany). As one of the most influential global events for materials innovation, circular economy technologies, and processing equipment, K 2025 brought together thousands of industry professionals seeking state-of-the-art solutions and emerging research shaping the future of plastics.

PROMOFER’s coordinating partner AIMPLAS showcased its wide range of innovations, services, and research projects at their stand from 8 to 15 October, with PROMOFER prominently featured among the organisation’s key EU-funded initiatives. Visitors were able to learn about PROMOFER’s approach to improving the efficiency and quality of plastic waste separation, supporting the transition toward more reliable recycling processes and higher-value secondary materials.

AIMPLAS experts took part in a series of technical presentations, workshops, and thematic sessions, contributing their expertise to the international dialogue on sustainability, recycling, and future materials. Highlights included: (i) Adrián Morales joined the round table “Perspectives on Chemical and Mechanical Recycling”, (ii) Sonia Albein delivered a dedicated presentation during Climate Friday, (iii) Víctor Sevilla contributed to a workshop centered on the European BioSupPack project, (iv) Anabel Crespo participated in the Women in Plastics event, (v) Belén Monje presented on bioplastics, showcasing AIMPLAS’ latest research developments, technological collaborations.

Throughout the week, the PROMOFER project was showcased at the AIMPLAS stand as one of the organisation’s priority research initiatives. Attendees had the opportunity to explore its objectives, expected impact, and technological innovations, including improved ferro-plastic separation methods and pathways to enhance the quality and market acceptance of recycled materials.

AIMPLAS staff engaged with industrial companies, technology manufacturers, policymakers, and research organisations interested in advancing cutting-edge recycling solutions — enabling PROMOFER to reach a diverse audience of stakeholders and potential collaborators.
