In September 2025, PROMOFER’s coordinating partner AIMPLAS took part in IPLAS ECUADOR, the International Plastics Trade Fair that has become a key meeting point for professionals across the plastics value chain in Latin America. The event aims to strengthen technological and commercial exchange while fostering innovation, sustainability, and new opportunities for companies in the sector.
During the fair, AIMPLAS dedicated its stand to presenting cutting-edge solutions focused on circularity, recycling, and sustainable transformation within plastics. Visitors had the opportunity to learn firsthand about AIMPLAS’ capabilities, advanced testing services, and ongoing R&D initiatives. Among these, PROMOFER featured prominently as one of the flagship projects illustrating AIMPLAS’ commitment to improving recycling performance in Europe and beyond.
AIMPLAS experts actively engaged with industrial stakeholders, technology providers, public authorities, and research institutions, explaining how PROMOFER is developing new tools, knowledge, and collaborative approaches to strengthen the market adoption of circular polymers.
The fair provided an excellent platform to disseminate the project’s goals, expected environmental impact, and opportunities for future collaboration across Latin American and European markets.
The participation of AIMPLAS extended beyond the exhibition floor. Two of AIMPLAS’ key experts contributed to the technical conference programme:
- Eva Verdejo, AIMPLAS’ leading researcher in Recycling, Recovery, and Biotechnology, delivered insights on the latest research advancements and the crucial role of innovation in improving plastics’ recyclability and end-of-life strategies.
- Serafín García, AIMPLAS’ Training Manager, offered a specialist perspective on workforce development, skills needs, and training as strategic pillars for accelerating the transition toward more sustainable and circular plastics systems.
AIMPLAS’ participation at IPLAS ECUADOR successfully boosted visibility and interest around PROMOFER, strengthening international dialogue and opening doors for future synergies in circular innovation.
