In November 2025, PROMOFER’s coordinating partner AIMPLAS participated in ECOMONDO 2025, held in Rimini (Italy). Recognized as one of Europe’s most influential events dedicated to green technologies, resource efficiency, and the circular economy, ECOMONDO brought together industry leaders, policymakers, researchers and innovators to exchange solutions driving the global ecological transition.
At Stand B1/108, AIMPLAS introduced visitors to its most recent technological advances, services, and R&D initiatives designed to support a more sustainable plastics industry. The attending AIMPLAS team, Aziz Aldureiz, Dyana Vitale, Giovanni Gadaleta, and Javier Ivañez, engaged with companies, research organisations, and public institutions to present real-world applications of circularity and cutting-edge recycling technologies.
Among the initiatives showcased, the PROMOFER project held a prominent place. Visitors could explore how PROMOFER is working to improve the quality, efficiency, and market uptake of recycled plastics through advanced ferro-plastic separation technologies and data-driven optimisation tools. The fair offered an ideal setting to disseminate the project’s objectives, highlight its technological relevance, and spark discussions on opportunities for synergies within European and international markets.
Beyond the exhibition stand, AIMPLAS further contributed to the event’s knowledge-sharing activities. Dyana Vitale, AIMPLAS researcher, participated as a speaker in the conference programme, addressing the role of innovation in accelerating the transition toward a circular plastics economy. Her intervention emphasised the importance of collaborative R&D projects like PROMOFER in delivering scalable, sustainable solutions aligned with European environmental targets.
ECOMONDO 2025 provided an exceptional platform to expand PROMOFER’s visibility among stakeholders committed to circularity, recycling, waste management, and sustainable manufacturing. AIMPLAS’ presence enabled direct engagement with industry actors seeking new solutions to enhance resource efficiency and integrate advanced recycling processes into their operations.
