Last week, PAQUES BIOMATERIALS pilot installation arrived in Delfzijl, where it will be installed at the Chemport Innovation Center.
Over the coming years, the pilot will produce PHA-rich biomass providing the feedstock for our Caleyda extraction pilot in Emmen. This will enable PAQUES to generate the material needed for extensive application development, product validation, and quality testing as we continue bringing sustainable PHA solutions to market.
The installation represents a crucial step in their scale-up roadmap. By integrating production and extraction at pilot scale, PAQUES can accelerate the development of new applications for Caleyda together with our partners.
The pilot will enable PAQUES to evaluate agrifood side streams for PHBV production at pilot scale through the PROMOFER project.
