The 3rd international exhibition Forward Green Expo took place on 13-15 March 2025 at HELEXPO International Exhibition Center in Thessaloniki, an initiative of HELEXPO that aims to contribute to the implementation of a new business concept for the country, based on circular economy, green growth and the transformation of business models for sustainable development and saving of natural resources.
HELLABIOM, member of the PROMOFER consortium, actively participated in the exhibition through an exhibitor’s stand, promoting sustainable biomass valorization good practices in the fields of bioenergy and bioeconomy. Information about the aims and progress of PROMOFER project was shared with the exhibition’s visitors both at the stand and during a panel presentation and discussion within the framework of Helexpo Dialgues.
The latter, entitled “The Future of Packaging: The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive (2025/40) and market best practices” was organized by the German-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK) on 13th March 2025 and attracted the attention of AHK member companies, HELLABIOM members and stakeholders of the Greek packaging industry. Mr. Nikolaos Damatis from HELLABIOM made an overview presentation of PROMOFER for the production of bioplastics, its objectives, partners and work stages, highlighting the project’s relevance to the packaging industry.
