ETAM S.A., the Dissemination and Communication Coordinator of PROMOFER, participated in BIOMASS DAY 2026, held on Saturday, 28 February 2026, as part of the VERDE.TEC at the MEC Paiania. The event brought together representatives from the public sector, local authorities, academia, and the bioenergy market.
BIOMASS DAY 2026, organised by another PROMOFER partner, the Hellenic Biomass Association (HELLABIOΜ), is a flagship event highlighting technological innovation, sustainable energy solutions, and policy developments in biomass utilisation. The programme included institutional and technological panels, presentations of European projects, and discussions on governance, forest management, and energy applications of biomass.
At the event, Dr Chryssa Pagkalou, General Director of ETAM S.A., presented the project, emphasising on the valorisation of residual biomass to produce innovative bioplastic materials. Special focus was placed on the joint objectives of PROMOFER Greek partners ETAM S.A. and HELLABIOΜ, that include the development of business models for Green Biomass Points and the software tools supporting their operation.
ETAM’s participation in BIOMASS DAY 2026 strengthened the visibility and impact of PROMOFER. Through interactions with policymakers, researchers, and industry professionals, the company showcased project outcomes, highlighted innovation in bioplastics, and demonstrated practical applications, reinforcing the project’s relevance across research, industry, and institutional stakeholders.
