As part of Bioeconomy Ireland Week 2025, University College Dublin (UCD), PROMOFER partner, hosted a special event on Thursday, 16 October 2025, titled “Trash to Treasure: The BiOrbic Bio-Plastic Innovation Tour”.
This inspiring event highlighted how cutting-edge biotechnology can transform everyday organic waste into valuable bio-based materials, supporting Ireland’s growing circular bioeconomy.
The event was organized by UCD in collaboration with the BiOrbic Research Centre, and featured a dedicated presentation on the PROMOFER project, followed by an exclusive guided laboratory tour.
